Andrew Levitch has over 20 years of experience leading strategic, financial, and operations teams in life sciences and technology companies ranging from Fortune 50 corporations to start-ups. His expertise covers developing and implementing successful strategies. Prior to joining medCPU in 2014, Andrew founded and served as Managing Director of Finategy, LLC, a strategic advisory firm focused on bridging the gap between finance and strategy. Previous positions included Partner with the Center for Disease Analysis, LLC, a life sciences consulting firm; Senior Director at Merck & Co. where he held executive positions throughout his 16-year career with the company; and Member of the Board of Directors of VirtualScopics, Inc., a leading provider of clinical trial imaging solutions. At medCPU, Andrew is responsible for setting strategic objectives, overseeing and directing the company’s operational and financial performance, and delivering results.

James Bogdan has over 25 years of healthcare technology, decision support solutions, and managed care experience. Jim’s role is centered on ensuring best-in-class performance and top quality relationships across all of our clients and growing our client base. Before joining medCPU, Jim was EVP of Client Services for Verisk Health, responsible for sales, marketing, and client management, including payers, providers, employers, and intermediaries.  While at Verisk he previously held the position of SVP, Provider Solutions. Jim has also held positions as SVP, Sales for NaviNet, the nation’s largest healthcare communications network, and VP, Sales & Account Services for CVS Caremark, with profit & loss responsibility for CVS Caremark’s Blue Cross Blue Shield unit. He’s also held senior roles with UnitedHealthcare, and GE Industrial Systems, Jim holds an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University and a BA from the University of Rochester. In his role as Chief Growth Officer, Jim is responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing teams, driving provider and payer awareness, management of all Client Relations, and leading the Company’s growth.

Nancy is a leader in the field of nursing technology, having cofounded VasTech in 2000, a company that developed and marketed healthcare workforce management software before being acquired by Lawson Software.

As Director of Implementation Services, she used her healthcare expertise to successfully guide organization-wide decisions on product development, best practice, change management, and implementation of the workforce management product suite in the US, Canada, and Ireland. The VasTech client base included Johns Hopkins, Cedars Sinai, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Barnes Jewish, Thomas Jefferson, Clarion Health Systems, and Kaiser Permanente.

Nancy also has extensive clinical experience, serving as a consultant to the school health board in Atlanta, Georgia where she created and established a clinical school health program. She has worked as a high risk labor and delivery nurse and certified perinatal educator at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and has consulted with a wide range of organizations to evaluate and establish best practice standards.

Nancy is responsible for our client-facing and partner relationship with UPMC, including managing our clinical engagement with UPMC Health System and leading development projects with UPMC Enterprises.  She also serves as a subject matter expert for OB.

Steve Oden has 25 years of software development and technical leadership experience.

He spent most of his IT career with Cerner Corporation, where he was responsible for all of Cerner’s Millennium software development and client support.

With his vast experience and expertise, he transitioned within Cerner to an integrated software development and client support model and almost 1,000 IT professionals under his leadership.

Prior to joining medCPU in 2012, Steve was Chief Technology Officer for Ad Astra Information Systems where he led the software development of the company’s web application solution for Higher Education; he also was responsible for creating Ad Astra’s Cloud-based application hosting service offering.

At medCPU, Steve oversees teams responsible for ensuring that clients experience exceptional technical implementation, technical support, and environment maintenance of the medCPU Advisor™ solution.

Jeffrey Jones has over 15 years of software management experience across consumer and health IT driven organizations. Launching his career by supervising social engagement initiatives with tightly integrated gamification mechanics across various web based applications, Jeff would eventually exit the consumer space with an interest in HIT.

As an employee of UPMC’s radiology division, Jeff spent the next 5 years familiarizing himself with the image processing techniques of numerous modalities, configurations of multiple PACS environments, and the impact of these processes and systems across various market leading EMRs. Given his consumer and HIT background, Jeff was hired into UPMC Enterprises, functioning as product owner to a number of clinical decision support focused initiatives.

It was this role which led to his current position of Vice President of Research and Development at medCPU, overseeing a Pittsburgh office comprised of software engineers, quality engineers, product analysts and accompanying management staff.

Peter Clarkson has over 25 years of management and software development experience, which includes 9+ years of Healthcare IT. He is currently responsible for overseeing software engineering in the Pittsburgh, PA as well as portions of the Tel Aviv, Israel offices.

Prior to joining medCPU, Peter worked for UPMC Enterprises to manage the development and commercialization of various software applications, and performed technical due diligence of both internal and external software opportunities.  Prior to this role, Peter spent 7 years with Optum where he was a foundational member of the engineering team that developed that company’s premier Enterprise Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) application from inception, and later to market in over 100 institutions. Throughout his career, Peter has held both management and lead engineering roles in both large corporations and startup companies.

Peter earned his MS in Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh and his BS in Business Administration from John Carroll University.
